As an Emergency Department Tech, you will be a vital support member of the emergency department team, directly assisting medical staff and ensuring a safe and efficient environment for patient care during critical moments. Your contributions will be essential to our ability to respond effectively to emergencies.

Requirements

High School Graduate or GED
Current CNA license or current EMT or EMT-P or Current Student Nurse status
American Heart Association Basic Life Support

Responsibilities

Assist nurses and physicians with direct patient care activities, including vital sign monitoring, patient transport, wound care, and equipment setup.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Stock supplies.
Respond rapidly to patient needs and emergencies.
Communicate effectively with the healthcare team, all while adhering to strict safety and infection control protocols.
Assures that the rights of the patient/family are respected and maintained.
Allows for privacy and modesty in the provision of care.
Identifies self by name and title to patient/family.
Reports suspected cases of abuse/neglect, if identified.
Provides for the physical, psycho-social and spiritual needs of the patient/family.
Completes care and documents within required time frames.
