About The Position

The Registration Clerk is responsible for registering patients for emergency, inpatient, and outpatient services according to policy and procedure established by the hospital as well as verifying all insurance coverage and benefits. Serves as the first point of contact for patients presenting to the facility for service. Must professionally and courteously collect monies due to facility.

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED preferred. One or two years of college preferred.
• One-year experience in a hospital setting with public contact work preferred. Knowledge of Medical Terminology preferred.
• Proficient with computers and excellent customer service skills.
