About The Position

Seeking a FT Days 3pm - 11pm Emergency Department Patient Access Clerk to ensure that patients are promptly and accurately registered, verify that appropriate information is obtained to satisfy medical, billing, and legal requirements, and perform other duties as required. Admits patients by preparing paperwork, ID bracelet, signatures, and collection of copay or deductibles due.  Responds to emergency situations quickly and appropriately by alerting the appropriate personnel.  Ensures accuracy of all demographic information and upholds the utmost confidentiality. Candidate must have excellent communication skills, be customer service oriented, and a team player.

Requirements

  • Insurance knowledge
  • Previous experience in a hospital/medical office environment
  • Ability to work independently
