About The Position

The paramedic tech greets patients and visitors in the Emergency Department and provides routine patient care in an efficient, safe and timely manner in accordance with established policies and procedures. The paramedic tech is directed by the nurse or physician to assure the highest degree of quality patient care.

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED equivalent.
• Successful completion of Paramedic Training program.
• Paramedic Certification required.
• CPR certification.
• Capability of using good judgment in the care and transporting of all patients accordingly.
• CPI training.
• ACLS/PALS Certification.
• Pre-Hospital EMS experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in the Emergency Department.

• Follow established policies and procedures for patient care.
• Work under the direction of a nurse or physician to ensure quality patient care.
