About The Position

Observation Unit Technician- PRN, Nights Job Summary The Observation Unit Technician supports patient care by performing delegated clinical tasks, cardiac monitoring, and essential clerical duties within the Observation Unit. This role functions as both a Monitor Technician and Unit Secretary, working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The technician helps maintain efficient unit operations, accurate documentation, and effective communication to promote safe, high‑quality patient care. Key Responsibilities Perform delegated patient‑care tasks within scope of training. Monitor cardiac rhythms and report changes promptly. Support admissions, documentation, and communication flow. Maintain accurate electronic records and organized unit operations. Collaborate with nursing and medical staff to support patient care. Minimum Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. BCLS required (or obtained within 90 days of hire). Monitor Technician training required (must be completed within 90 days of hire for hires after 4/15/2024).
