Requirements

• Completion of a paramedic program
• Valid State Licensure as a Paramedic
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (not applicable for Adult only Emergency Departments)

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care under the direction of the Charge nurse, registered nurse, and/or physician.
• Perform general clinical, non-clinical, and clerical services necessary for the efficient functioning of the nursing unit.
• Utilize age-specific competencies in the care of all patient populations.
• Adhere to the AdventHealth corporate compliance plan and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
• Actively participate in outstanding customer service and maintain respectful relationships.
