Perkins Coie LLP is seeking a midlevel to senior associate to join its rapidly growing Emerging Companies & Venture Capital group in the San Francisco, Palo Alto or New York office. The practice focuses on representing innovative companies and their founders throughout their lifecycle (business formation, financing transactions, and mergers and acquisitions) as well as the funds that invest in them. Clients range from newly-formed startups to multi-billion dollar technology market leaders.

Requirements

• Minimum of four years of experience at a comparable law firm.
• Experience in advising clients on venture financings, corporate governance, and regulatory strategy.
• Stellar academic credentials and references.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• CA bar admission is required.

Responsibilities

• Represent innovative companies and their founders throughout their lifecycle including business formation, financing transactions, and mergers and acquisitions.
• Advise clients on venture financings, corporate governance, and regulatory strategy relating to AI, Web3, blockchain, crypto, metaverse, and other frontier technologies.
• Manage internal and external client and counsel relationships.
