About The Position

Prepares and cooks meals; plans menus; orders supplies; and maintains cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas. Assists with nutrition for staff, children, and families as requested.

Requirements

High school education; or general education degree (GED).
At least one year experience in a related field.
An individual should have knowledge of Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
Must obtain a Food Handlers Card and be certified in CPR and first aid within 6 weeks of employment.
Employee must not and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG’s Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA’s List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG’s List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).
Must have the ability to operate a calculator and computer.
Must meet and maintain pre-employment and periodic background investigation and adjudication for child care.
Employee is regularly required to stand.
Employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and talk or hear.
Employee is occasionally required to sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and extreme heat.
Employee is occasionally exposed to extreme cold and risk of electrical shock.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
