Our Opportunity We are currently seeking an Ecotoxicologist position for our Ecological and Biological Sciences Practice located in our Natick, MA office. In this role, you will work as part of a team focusing on complex ecotoxicological issues at the forefront of emerging contaminants and chemicals of concern, providing high-level technical support on existing projects and business development efforts in the Ecological and Biological Sciences Practice. The ideal candidate for this position should be open to collaboration on multidisciplinary work and be willing to develop and expand their areas of expertise.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Ecotoxicology, Freshwater Ecology, Applied Ecology, Environmental Science, Marine Sciences, or related field
  • Strong technical background in biology, ecology, ecotoxicology, and environmental chemistry
  • Experience in aquatic (marine, estuarine or freshwater) toxicology
  • Experience with data analysis and statistics, and graphical presentation of data
  • Experience with data management and analysis using Excel, Access, and a programming language (e.g., R or Python)
  • Experience managing tasks of moderate scope and complexity
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple projects and tasks with competing deadlines, and communicate within multidisciplinary teams
  • Demonstrated ability in written and oral communications
  • Strong commitment to personal development
  • Presently legally authorized to work in the United States. No immigration sponsorship or processing required.

Responsibilities

  • Synthesizing technical information and applying creative and critical thinking to prepare and review reports and technical presentations
  • Managing data and conducting statistical data analysis
  • Developing and maintaining professional status by authoring peer-reviewed publications and participating in technical conferences and activities of professional societies
  • Working collaboratively on projects with other members of the Ecological and Biological Sciences Practice and interdisciplinary groups from other Exponent practices as appropriate
