The Labovitz School of Business and Economics (LSBE) at the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) invites applications for part-time, non-tenure track, adjunct faculty positions to teach undergraduate courses in the following area: Labor Economics beginning in Spring 2026. The Labovitz School of Business and Economics (LSBE) at the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) has the need for a part-time, non-tenure track, adjunct faculty position in the area of Economics at the Instructor/Assistant Professor level beginning Spring 2026. The individual hired for this position will have responsibilities in teaching one or more undergraduate (elective) courses in the area of Labor Economics and related topics. Being a member of the qualified applicant pool does not ensure a teaching contract will be offered; course offerings, and therefore teaching appointments, will vary with demand and available funding. Typically, classes in LSBE are held in person. We are a place-based institution and expect faculty to be present on campus and engage in person in the life of the school. The candidate hired to teach this course will have responsibilities for managing all aspects of teaching the course, including course development, course delivery, grading, and communicating with students. The department will provide guidance on course content, required textbook and syllabus development. The candidate is also expected to hold office hours (in-person or virtual) to ensure access to students outside of class hours.
