About The Position

The Economic Stability Specialist position is focused on providing professional support services for social services programs aimed at assisting families with food, cash, or childcare. This role is situated within the Department of Children and Family Services in the Livingston Parish Economic Stability Office, where the specialist will ensure compliance with federal and state regulations while promoting the well-being and safety of Louisiana's residents.

Requirements

• A baccalaureate degree plus two years of professional level economic stability social services experience.
• Six years of full-time work experience in any field may substitute for the required baccalaureate degree.
• Graduate training with eighteen semester hours in relevant fields can substitute for one year of required experience.
• A master's degree in relevant fields can substitute for one year of required experience.
• A Juris Doctorate can substitute for one year of required experience.
• A Ph.D. in relevant fields can substitute for two years of required experience.

Responsibilities

• Review case records and procedures in local offices to ensure accurate determination of program benefits.
• Prepare exit conferences, written reports, and confirmations.
• Set standards of operation, check progress, and ensure policies are properly implemented.
• Conduct ongoing administrative programmatic reviews of field offices for compliance with regulations.
• Recommend and direct plans to correct deficiencies in personnel use and overall efficiency measures.
• Coordinate services and negotiate agreements with government and private agency administrators, doctors, lawyers, and private industry executives.
• Research and respond to parish office requests for policy clarification and interpretation.
