About The Position

ProSidian Seeks a Economic Modeler (Contract Contingent) in Charlotte, NC / Remote to support an engagement for agency of the United States government responsible for consumer protection in the occupational safety and health sector The ProSidian Engagement Team Members work to wll provide policy and economic analyses support services Economic Modeler Candidates shall work to support requirements for PR0001 Program Support and The Economic Modeler will help develop, design, and deliver economic analysis of policy change related of occupational safety and health. The Economic Modeler will support, assess, and execute statistical, mathematical, and economic models for policy making, risk assessment and performance measurement in areas related to occupational safety and health. The Economic Modeler will work with a Data and Policy Analyst and Regulatory Specialist on each project to provide deliverables to the agency. The Economic Modeler will be responsible for the econoic anlaysis of the potential impact of policy changes. The Ecomonic Modeler will be the primary contributor to the evaluation, development and management of advanced economic models related to occupational safety and health. The Economic Modeler will be responsible for assisting in developing content for study repors and presentation of statistical findings. The Economic Modeler will utilize data mining and statistical techniques to help develop analytic insights, sound hypotheses, and informed recommendations. The Economic Modeler will conduct ad hoc quantitative analyses, modeling, or programming using SAS, SQL, R, or Python. The Economic Modeler will perform analyses to assess the quality and risk of model methodologies, outputs, and processes under supervision.

Requirements

  • Economic Modeler shall have consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five (5) years
  • Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; and proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/Power point) and related tools and technology required for the position
  • Work products shall be thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and comply with established criteria
  • The candidate shall ensure that duties are performed in a competent and professional manner that meets milestones/delivery schedules as outlined
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily
  • GS-8 Equivalent: Master’s degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university in a relevant field with at least 5 years of experience with demonstrated understanding of program management, facilitation, and organization of large conferences or training sessions
  • Bachelor's degree required; Masters degree preferred in a relevant field or related subject (MBA strongly preferred)
  • At least 5 years of experience providing communication and knowledge management expertise
  • Experience in management of custom survey projects
  • Experience in data collection, analysis, and written reports summarizing data collected
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively both individually and as a member of a team
  • Candidate must have strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to propose possible resolutions to complex managerial or operational problems
  • Demonstrated expertise in knowledge management
  • Demonstrated proactivity, attention to detail, working within deadlines, and ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, English verbal, written, editing, research, and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills

  • Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)

  • U.S. Citizenship Required
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, & Adobe)
  • Advanced Data Analytics (Time series regressions, knowledge of how to apply appropriate statistical models to each job task)
