The Economic Justice Program Coordinator is the lead for the Center’s workforce development program and services. The primary goal of this program is to place transgender, non-binary, and gender diverse individuals, and LGBTQ+ youth experiencing homelessness, into jobs that provide economic security and career pathways with LGBTQ+ affirming employers. This position is responsible for providing detailed workforce development case management, coordinating You Betta Work LGBTQ+ Career Fairs, job readiness workshops, career counseling, job placement, removing barriers to employment, and building employment environments where LGBTQ+ people, especially those with multiple marginalized identities, can thrive. This position reports to the Director of Advocacy & Training and works in partnership with other programming staff, events team, and stakeholders as well as directly with community members of diverse backgrounds. This position requires a flexible candidate to meet the needs of the program and its clients.
