About The Position

The National Partnership for Women & Families is a nonprofit, nonpartisan 501(c)(3) organization that fights for equity for all women and families. We’re passionate about making change on big issues such as equal pay for all women, paid leave for working families and access to affordable health care that provides abortion and reproductive care. We advocate on the Hill and for federal, state and local policy. We are seeking an Economic Justice Advocacy Intern to join our Economic Justice team. The internship runs from June to mid-August and operates in a hybrid in-person office environment in Washington, DC. In this role, you will develop skills needed for work in the policy and advocacy world, including legislative and policy research, analysis, writing for a variety of audiences, and coalition-building. The Economic Justice Advocacy Intern will work on challenging projects across the National Partnership's economic justice policy agenda, including paid family and medical leave, paid sick days, fair pay, occupational segregation, pregnancy discrimination and sexual harassment. For this summer, we particularly encourage applications from individuals interested in careers in policy.
