World Relief Upstate SC is seeking a dynamic Economic Empowerment Intern to walk alongside refugees and immigrants on their path toward economic self-sufficiency. This unpaid internship offers hands-on experience in workforce development and refugee resettlement services. The intern will support Economic Empowerment Specialists in delivering holistic employment services, including job readiness activities, case management, employment preparation, and career pathways coaching. Under supervision, the intern will assist clients with job search processes, workplace readiness, and access to community resources that support job retention and long-term advancement. Additional responsibilities include coordinating and supporting workshops, trainings, and informational sessions that prepare clients to navigate the U.S. workforce and adapt to their new community. The intern will also assist with preparing materials, tracking participation, managing program logistics, and supporting employer engagement activities. Through this experience, the intern will contribute meaningfully to sustainable employment pathways for some of our most resilient community members â while gaining valuable, real-world experience in nonprofit program operations.
