Under the supervision and direction of the Economic Development Director, this position creates and assists with implementation of business retention, expansion and attraction, initiatives consistent with the goals of the St. Cloud Economic Development Authority (EDA) and City of St. Cloud. This position plays a lead role in the City's community, regional, and organizational marketing programs and related data collection and analysis. This position assists the Economic Development Director with redevelopment and development recruitment and financial assistance tools and associated reporting as needed. Requirements

• Four-year Bachelor of Arts degree in Economic Development, Community Development, Urban Studies, Public Administration, Business Marketing or a closely related field.
• Two years experience in economic development, planning, and/or business marketing.
• Valid Minnesota issued driver's license that is unrestricted except for corrective lenses, or able to attain by appointment.

Responsibilities

• Implementing various economic development programs by conducting personal visits to plants/offices, phone contact and written communications.
• Coordinates and implements the City's business marketing strategy and budget, including the design, development and distribution of various promotional materials and media.
• Organizes and convenes workshops and sponsorships of special interest to the industrial, business, real estate development communities.
• Plans and coordinates events targeted at business retention, expansion and attraction efforts.
• Develops and maintains databases of prospects, industrial, commercial and real estate development contacts for marketing and ongoing communications.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Economic Development Director.
