About The Position

The Economic Development Manager for the Town of Bennett plays a crucial role in supporting the Deputy Town Manager in implementing the Town's economic development strategic plan. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Public Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum six years of directly related experience in economic development or business attraction.
  • Two years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Valid Colorado's Driver's License.

  • Knowledge of planning and zoning principles.
  • Familiarity with statistical and financial analyses.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises the day-to-day operations related to the economic development division.
  • Assigns projects to subordinate staff and coordinates with community leaders.
  • Builds and maintains community relationships by representing the Town and serving on various committees.
  • Prepares development incentive packages and presents them to the Town Board of Trustees.
  • Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of various economic development programs.
  • Develops short and long-term economic and community development plans.
  • Identifies and develops targeted marketing initiatives for potential developers.
  • Prepares proposals to clients and responds to inquiries.
  • Administers and implements annual budgeting for assigned work areas.
  • Identifies funding sources for programs and participates in grant writing.
  • Ensures project compliance with internal and external requirements.
  • Models teamwork and collaboration values with stakeholders.
  • Assists with publicity events such as grand openings and ribbon cuttings.
  • Presents reports to Town agencies and the public.
  • Assists in site analysis and prepares information packets.
