About The Position
The San Bernardino County Economic Development Department is dedicated to fostering sustainable economic growth opportunities that enhance job creation and revenue generation. The department actively creates strategic partnerships with both public and private entities to enhance global competitiveness and promote entrepreneurial development. The team of experts within the department specializes in connecting businesses with essential resources across various domains, including economic development, international investment, workforce development, entrepreneurship, small business development, travel and tourism, and film and photography. As an Economic Development Coordinator III, you will play a pivotal role in achieving the County's vision. This position involves building bridges that connect businesses with opportunities, tools, people, and resources necessary for their success and growth. Key responsibilities include establishing and nurturing harmonious working relationships with stakeholders, coordinating and implementing economic development projects, providing technical assistance and resources, conducting studies and research, analyzing legislation, making recommendations, monitoring contracts, and representing the County at various functions. The Economic Development Coordinator III is expected to handle larger and more complex projects while leading project teams, ensuring that the department's objectives are met effectively and efficiently.
