The Research Associate Program at GBI, in cooperation with BLM Utah, is recruiting one (1) Native Seed Program Manager to provide GIS support and administrative support for the Seeds of Success (SOS) national native seed collection program across Colorado Plateau ecoregion. Project goals will be advanced by using USGS tools with our SOS inventory, seed source origin locations, and geospatial data to identify plant materials needs and to plan SOS collection priorities. The project will also provide district biologists, project specialists, and managers with plant materials and population information that can be used to evaluate conservation objectives, restoration efficacy, and the interactive effects of climate, drought, invasive species, and wildfire. This project may also identify factors that can improve restoration efforts before important ecosystems are lost.
