About The Position

Under the direction of the Site Manager, the Eco Depot Shift Supervisor directs the work of staff members and oversees daily operations and retail sales at the Eco Depot facility. The position maintains site transaction records, assesses load volumes, schedules staff and operates heavy equipment.

Requirements

High school diploma or its equivalent
At least one year of related medium or heavy equipment experience or completion of specialized training
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite – e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook
Professional demeanor
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
Detail oriented
Strong leadership skills
Strong training skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities
Valid Class C driver’s license
Record of safe driving for the last three years
Class B Municipal Solid Waste license – or the ability to obtain

Nice To Haves

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
Experience operating heavy equipment
At least one year of customer service experience
At least one year of supervisory experience

Responsibilities

Supervise the daily operations, sales, and customer relationships of the Eco Depot facility in support of site management’s business objectives.
Prepare a work schedule with shifts, hours and tasks to be accomplished.
Collaborate with site management to supervise staff, which includes mentoring, coaching, and identifying disciplinary issues.
Ensure the facility is staffed and open for business on time.
Assess load volumes and compliance with pricing minimums.
Ensure proper maintenance of transaction records.
Deposit funds daily.
Operate onsite equipment associated with operations including, but not limited to, front end loader and roll-off truck.
Conduct and/or participate in required safety meetings.
Immediately report safety incidents or violations to the Site Manager.
Other duties as assigned.
