Schedule Details: This position commits to 32 hours per week. Schedule is 4 days per week, with variable start times between 7am and 9am. Call requirement of one night per week, every fourth weekend and holiday rotation. Must live within 60 minutes of all three hospital campuses (Waukesha, Oconomowoc and Mukwonago) for call purposes. What You Will Do:The Echosonography Technician completes noninvasive cardiovascular diagnostic tests according to established standards and practices. The Echo Tech uses cognitive sonographic skills to identify, record, and adapt procedures as appropriate to anatomical, pathological, diagnostic information and images. In this role you will analyze sonograms, synthesizes sonographic information and medical history from both patient and provider, and communicates findings to the appropriate physician. In this role, the Echo Tech uses independent judgment during sonographic exam to accurately differentiate between normal and pathologic findings.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or Cardiovascular Technology Program that is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).
  • Registry (RDCS or RCS) eligible and achieved within six months of training completion.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred successful completion of an accredited ultrasound program.
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography License preferred.
  • ACLS certification preferred.
