Requirements

• Associate’s degree in a related field.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire.
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer certification from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), RDCS, AE or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of diagnostic ultrasonographic procedures.
• Receives patients, explains method of procedure and makes sure patients are comfortable.
• Provides patient services to all ages using imaging modalities.
• Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices.
• Maintains equipment and supplies and organizes work area.
• Keeps accurate records, helps with scheduling of the ultrasound and keeps patient flow smooth.
