Requirements

• Applicants should have an associates degree and registered RDCS by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or registry eligible is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
• CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Operates and controls ultrasound equipment, while obtaining good diagnostic quality images and process studies appropriately.
• Schedules same day add-on exams and works with the scheduling department to schedule exams in the most economical and efficient manner.
• Properly assists, transfers, and immobilizes patients with proper techniques and devices.
• Interviews patients and reviews orders, obtains patient history, and reviews prior images and reports.
• Assist the cardiologist/radiologist as needed.
• Assists in transporting of patients to and from the department as needed.
• Accurately enter charges for exams and supplies.
• May be required to perform other assignments from time to time as requested by the Department Leader.
• Rotate call, holidays, and weekends as needed.
