Position Overview: We are seeking skilled and experienced Echocardiography US Technicians and Sonographers to join our team. In these roles, you will perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures to produce high-quality images for medical interpretation. You will collaborate closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely diagnoses to patients.

Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Echocardiography, or a related field (Preferred).
  • Certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (Required for Sonographer).
  • Wisconsin License/Registration (Required).
  • Certified Cardiographic Technician (Required for Echocardiographer).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Sonographer or Echocardiographer (Required).
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in operating ultrasound equipment.
  • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
  • Understanding of medical terminology.
  • Ability to accurately measure and calculate diagnostic data.
  • Familiarity with relevant imaging software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures, including 2D echocardiograms, using specialized equipment to produce high-quality images.
  • Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and answering any questions.
  • Position patients correctly to obtain optimal imaging results.
  • Analyze images to ensure they meet diagnostic quality standards and communicate findings to physicians.
  • Maintain accurate patient records while ensuring patient confidentiality.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver the best possible patient care.
  • Stay current with the latest developments in ultrasound technology and techniques.
  • Assist with patient flow, collect patient history and vital signs, and perform EKGs when trained.
  • Perform ultrasound examinations on patients using high-frequency sound waves.
  • Operate ultrasound equipment and adjust settings to obtain optimal images.
  • Position patients and apply gel to the skin to ensure proper image quality.
  • Analyze images and identify any abnormalities or potential issues.
  • Collaborate with physicians to interpret and report findings.
  • Assist with training new staff as needed and follow standardized clinic workflow.
  • Assist with forensic chart review and chart preparation for providers during downtime.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy work area, contributing to the overall cleanliness of the clinic.
