About The Position

The Echocardiographer, or cardiac sonographer, is responsible for performing echocardiographic
examinations to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac conditions. This includes the use of
ultrasound technology to create images of the heart and its structures, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images and information for the cardiologist.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Adequate verbal and written communication skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams
• Strong organizational skills
• Proficiency in computer software
• Able to multi-task efficiently.
• BLS/CPR required upon hire or obtain within
• This is a safety sensitive position.

Nice To Haves

• Technical Diploma or Associate’s Degree in cardiovascular technology, diagnostic medical sonography with a focus in echocardiology, or other related field preferred.
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Certification- preferred.
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer Certification- preferred.
• Minimum of two years’ cardiology experience a plus.
• Knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathology
• Proficiency with echocardiography equipment, including ultrasound machines and related software.
