About The Position

Sentara Heart Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia is seeking an Echocardiographer to join the Non-invasive Lab Team! The Echocardiographer will perform Echo and Stress Echo tests, Transesophageal (TEE) Echocardiogram, and Doppler ultrasound. The position involves working in the Cardiac Non-Invasive Lab, EP and Cath Lab, OR, ICU, and also working with patients at the bedside. The unit has 5 rooms for Echos and requires call as part of the job responsibilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Level Degree, Associate's Level Degree in Cardiovascular Technology or High School Diploma
• At least 3 years of echocardiographer experience
• Basic Life Support certification required
• Adult echocardiography registry (ARDMS, RDCS or RCS) required within 12 months of hire

Responsibilities

• Perform Echo and Stress Echo tests
• Conduct Transesophageal (TEE) Echocardiograms
• Execute Doppler ultrasound procedures
• Work in Cardiac Non-Invasive Lab, EP and Cath Lab, OR, ICU
• Provide bedside care to patients
