About The Position

Sentara Health is currently recruiting for an Echocardiographer for the Noninvasive Lab at Sentara OBICI in Suffolk, Virginia! We are seeking dedicated professionals to join our expert team specializing in 2-D Echo, TEEs (Transesophageal Echocardiograms), Stress Echos, and Image-Enhancing Agents. The Echocardiographer will perform two-dimensional echocardiograms, 3D, Doppler Ultrasound, Holter Monitor, transesophageal echocardiograms, and pharmacological stress echocardiograms to evaluate heart and vessel abnormalities for the evaluation of heart disease and blood flow abnormalities. Completes the technologist report in the structured report application. Shift: 8 hour shifts between 7am -4:30pm M-F and coverage for 1 weekend every 3 weeks: 7am -11am. Call is every 9th week for a 1 week period.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited echocardiography program (or equivalent education) in accordance with IAC Guidelines.
• Basic Life Support Required.
• Adult echocardiography registry (ARDMS, RDCS or RCS) required within 12 months of hire.
• New Graduated Echocardiography will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Perform two-dimensional echocardiograms, 3D, Doppler Ultrasound, Holter Monitor, transesophageal echocardiograms, and pharmacological stress echocardiograms.
• Evaluate heart and vessel abnormalities for the evaluation of heart disease and blood flow abnormalities.
• Complete the technologist report in the structured report application.
