About The Position

Sentara Health is currently recruiting for a Full time- Echocardiographer for Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia! The Echocardiographer will perform two dimensional echocardiograms, 3D, Doppler Ultrasound, Holter Monitor, transesophageal echocardiograms, and pharmacological stress echocardiograms to evaluate heart and vessel abnormalities for the evaluation of heart disease and blood flow abnormalities. Completes the technologist report in the structured report application.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited echocardiography program (or equivalent education) in accordance with IAC Guidelines
• Adult echocardiography registry (RCCS or RCS or RDCS) required within 12 months of hire
• BLS certification required
• New grads welcome

Responsibilities

• Perform two dimensional echocardiograms
• Conduct 3D echocardiograms
• Utilize Doppler Ultrasound
• Administer Holter Monitor tests
• Conduct transesophageal echocardiograms
• Perform pharmacological stress echocardiograms
• Evaluate heart and vessel abnormalities
• Complete technologist report in the structured report application
