About The Position
Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center in Williamsburg, VA, is currently hiring a Flexi/PRN, Day Shift Echocardiographer for the Noninvasive Lab! Hours One/10 hour shift/week Department is open 7 days/week Overview An Echocardiographer, also known as a cardiac sonographer, specializes in performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations of the heart. These professionals work closely with cardiologists to evaluate heart structures, functions, and blood flow, aiding in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular conditions. Performs two dimensional echocardiograms, Doppler echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms and pharmacological stress echocardiograms to evaluate heart and vessel abnormalities for the evaluation of heart disease and blood flow abnormalities. Completes the technologist report in the structured report application.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited echocardiography program (Associate's or Bachelor's in Cardiovascular Technology) OR a High School Diploma along with significant experience will be considered in lieu of education, in accordance with IAC Guidelines.
- Adult echocardiography registry (RCCS, RCS or RDCS) must be obtained within 12 months of hire
- ACLS within 90 days of hire
- BLS within 90 days of hire
Responsibilities
- Performs two dimensional echocardiograms, Doppler echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms and pharmacological stress echocardiograms to evaluate heart and vessel abnormalities for the evaluation of heart disease and blood flow abnormalities.
- Completes the technologist report in the structured report application.
