About The Position

Sentara BelleHarbour Advanced Imaging is hiring an Echocardiographer for a Full Time Day shift in Suffolk, VA! This role has required call. Sign on Bonus up to $20,000 available for qualified candidates! The Sentara Imaging Center is conveniently located on the campus of Sentara BelleHarbour in Western Tidewater. The center is home to a 3T MRI, CT, PET CT, full digital mammography, ultrasound, bone densitometry, PVL (vascular imaging services), non-invasive cardiac diagnostic testing, and digital X-ray. Physicians and patients also benefit from the expertise of our sub-specialized radiologists who ensure accurate results from the high-quality images. Our sub-specialties include women’s imaging, musculoskeletal (MSK), body and neuroradiology. The noninvasive Echocardiographer performs two dimensional echocardiograms, Doppler echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms and stress echocardiograms to evaluate heart and vessel abnormalities for the evaluation of heart disease and blood flow abnormalities. Completes the technologist report in the structured report application. This role can expect around 8 cases on average. Why Choose Sentara Obici Hospital? Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required
• Associates or bachelor's degree in Cardiovascular Technology preferred
• Graduate of an accredited echocardiography program (or equivalent education) in accordance with IAC Guidelines.
• Basic Life Support within 90 days of hire
• ACLS within 90 days of hire
• Adult echocardiography registry (RCCS or RCS or RDCS) required within 12 months of hire.
• Echocardiography - 1-yr. exp highly preferred
• two dimensional echocardiograms
• Clinical Experience in an acute setting
• Manages complex cases in fast-paced environments
• Communication with patients and providers
• knowledge on performing measurements of heart structures
• visualizing potentially critical findings

Responsibilities

• Performs two dimensional echocardiograms
• Performs Doppler echocardiograms
• Performs transesophageal echocardiograms
• Performs stress echocardiograms to evaluate heart and vessel abnormalities for the evaluation of heart disease and blood flow abnormalities
• Completes the technologist report in the structured report application
