About The Position

Performs echocardiography studies and stress ECHOs. Recognizes, calculates, interprets, and analyzes the hemodynamic data served from echocardiography studies. Requirements

  • High School or GED, required
  • 2 Year / Associate Degree, required
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer, credentials RDCS or RCS (New Graduate will have 6 months to pass registry), required
  • Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing
  • Has knowledge and skills necessary to modify care according to patient(s)' age
  • Has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient(s)' requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs
  • Considerable verbal ability to effectively communicate observations and input to nursing staff, physicians, and other department staff

Nice To Haves

  • Certification Program in lieu of Associate Degree accepted
  • Graduate from a formal Cardiovascular Program that is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs
  • Two years of echocardiography experience
