Echocardiographer - Per Diem
About The Position
This Echocardiograph Technologist position performs cardiovascular diagnostic testing according to established departmental procedures. The Technologist understands heart rhythms interpretation and utilizes equipment proficiently. The Cardiovascular Technician maintains equipment per respective policies and reports any malfunctions to the Bio-Medical Services department. This position delivers care in a prompt and professional manner, always maintaining the highest level of confidentiality and respect. The Technologist works as part of the care team to meet the needs of the customer and to support departmental objectives. This position performs related office duties and participates in performance improvement activities.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Registered or registered eligible Cardiac Sonographer required. Registered eligible must complete registry within one year of hire.
- American Heart Association BLS certification required upon hire or transfer.
- 1-2 years non-invasive cardiology technician experience preferred.
- The Technologist performs specific testing, based on his/her educational level and clinical proficiency.
- Proficiency in Clinical Applications preferred at time of hire; incumbents within position will be trained appropriately and then skill will be required for this position within 30-60 days from date of hire.
Nice To Haves
- Graduate accredited Cardiac Sonography School preferred.
- ACLS certification preferred.
- 1-2 years non-invasive cardiology technician experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Clinical Applications preferred at time of hire
