About The Position

Sentara Heart Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia is seeking a Senior Echocardiographer to join the Non-invasive Lab Team! Shift: Part time - 8 hour shifts from 7:00am to 3:30pm. Call Required. Position Overview: Unit has 5 rooms for Echos. Echocardiographer will perform Echo and Stress Echo tests, Transesophageal (TEE) Echocardiogram, and Doppler ultrasound. Echocardiographer will work in Cardiac Non-Invasive Lab, EP and Cath Lab, OR, ICU and will also work with patients at the bedside. Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, located in Norfolk, VA, is a 525-bed tertiary care facility that is home to the only Level I Adult Trauma Center and burn trauma unit in Hampton Roads, and also serves as the primary teaching hospital for Eastern Virginia Medical School. In addition to the high-quality heart program at Sentara Heart Hospital, our facility is home to Nightingale Regional Air Ambulance and several other dedicated facilities and specialized services. Requirements

Bachelor's Level Degree, Associate's Level Degree - CARDIOVASCULAR TECHNOLOGY OR High School Diploma.
Echo Tech experience in lieu of education: Yes
Basic Life Support Required
Adult echocardiography registry (ARDMS, RDCS or RCS) required within 12 months of hire.
At least 3 years of echocardiographer experience

Responsibilities

Echocardiographer will perform Echo and Stress Echo tests
