About The Position

Sentara Virginia Beach Echocardiographer to join the Cardiac team. Shift: Full-Time - 8 hour shifts from 7:00am to 3:30pm. Call Required. Position Overview: Performs two dimensional echocardiograms, Doppler echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms and pharmacological stress echocardiograms to evaluate heart and vessel abnormalities for the evaluation of heart disease and blood flow abnormalities. Completes the technologist report in the structured report application. Graduate of an accredited echocardiography program (or equivalent education) in accordance with IAC Guidelines. Adult echocardiography registry (RCCS or RCS or RDCS) within in 12 months of hire.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited echocardiography program (or equivalent education) in accordance with IAC Guidelines
• Adult echocardiography registry (RCCS or RCS or RDCS) within in 12 months of hire
• Required Education: Bachelor's Level Degree, Associate's Level Degree - CARDIOVASCULAR TECHNOLOGY OR High School Diploma
• Echo Tech experience in lieu of education: Yes
• Basic Life Support Required
• Adult echocardiography registry (ARDMS, RDCS or RCS) required within 12 months of hire
• At least 3 years of echocardiographer experience

Responsibilities

• Performs two dimensional echocardiograms
• Performs Doppler echocardiograms
• Performs transesophageal echocardiograms
• Performs pharmacological stress echocardiograms to evaluate heart and vessel abnormalities for the evaluation of heart disease and blood flow abnormalities
• Completes the technologist report in the structured report application
