Responsibilities

Perform high quality Diagnostic echocardiograms to evaluate cardiac function, including transthoracic, transesophageal, bubble studies, and stress echocardiograms.
Assures that professional care is provided, and appropriateness of study is maintained.
Assists cardiologist with exams as needed, real time documentation of video and detection of pathology for patients of all ages, following department protocol.
Communicate findings to physicians and other healthcare team members.
Follow established protocols and standards for echocardiogram examinations and equipment.
Performs related diagnostic imaging functions and computer use in an accurate and timely manner.
Maintains appropriate documentation for regulatory standards and medical record while safeguarding patient confidentiality.
Stay current with new developments in echocardiography and continuing education opportunities.
