Requirements

  • Must possess a high school diploma or GED
  • Must possess at least 1 year of experience in cardiology testing.
  • Must have completed echo courses in M-Mode and 2-D and Doppler Echocardiography.
  • Must be CPR trained- Healthcare Provider level.
  • ARDMS OR CCI certification required
  • Must have Epic experience
  • Must possess the ability to effectively communicate and deal tactfully with other personnel, visitors, patients, physicians, customers, and the general public.
  • Must be flexible, have personal integrity, and the ability to function effectively as a team with other employees.
  • Must possess typing skills.
  • Must be able to perform EKGs, Treadmill preparation, Echocardiograms, and Dopplers.
  • Pediatric echo screening scans
  • Will be required to travel.

Responsibilities

  • The Echocardiographer performs all Echocardiogram and Dopplers which result in successful reading.
  • Assists with all other departmental testing as needed, following departmental protocols.
  • The staff member demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development for all age groups with special emphasis on middle and senior adults.
  • The staff member must evidence the ability to apply these principles when selecting equipment, performing tests, and interacting with clients and their families.
