The Echo Vascular Technologist will be responsible for performing quality patient care and mammographic images for successful diagnostic of patients for the radiologist. This also includes creating a tranquil environment, so patients will be able to adhere to examination instructions. Willing to assist at nearby practices as needed Optum NY/NJ was formed in 2022 by bringing together Riverside Medical Group, CareMount Medical and ProHealth Care. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Ultrasound
  • RDCS/RCS
  • RVS/RVT
  • License or temporary permit to practice in the state of New York
  • 1+ years of experience in Ultrasound
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to travel between different offices
  • Physical health sufficient to meet the ergonomic standards and demands of the position

Nice To Haves

  • Venous insufficiency is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and positions patients for diagnostic imaging procedures
  • Explains procedures and process to patients
  • Moves imaging equipment into the specified position; determines exposure factors based on height, weight, the portion of the body involved, and the degree of penetration required; and adjusts equipment controls to set exposure factors and produce images of proper detail, density, and accuracy
  • Practices radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patients and staff
  • Performs Transthoracic Echocardiographic examinations
  • Performing Vascular studies. This includes, but not limited to carotids, lower extremity arterial and venous duplex for insufficiency, abdominal aorta, and renal artery Doppler
  • Venous insufficiency is preferred
  • Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis of data and preliminary report
