About The Position

The Echocardiographer at Virtua Health is responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound imaging of the heart, including 2D echo Doppler studies, stress echocardiograms, and transesophageal echocardiograms. This role is crucial in supporting the cardiology department's mission to provide exceptional care and adhere to established policies and procedures. The position requires collaboration with cardiologists and involves processing images for physician interpretation.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of echocardiography experience.
• Knowledge of Stress Echocardiography and Transesophageal Echocardiography procedures.
• Graduate of accredited echocardiography program.
• Echo techs must be credentialed through American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) within one year of hire.
• Pediatric Echocardiography requires RDCS Pediatric credential or approval by interpreting pediatric cardiologists.

Responsibilities

• Completes 2D echo Doppler studies, edits in digital system, and processes for physician interpretation.
• Completes stress echo and dobutamine stress echo studies, edits in digital system, and processes for physician interpretation.
• Completes transesophageal echocardiograms with the cardiologist, edits and processes for physician interpretation.
