About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Echocardiographer to join a hospital-based Diagnostic Imaging team in Milford, DE. This role is responsible for performing comprehensive cardiac ultrasound studies across all patient populations, including neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients. The Echocardiographer will work closely with cardiologists and interdisciplinary staff to ensure accurate diagnostic results while also serving as a clinical resource and mentor to students participating in training programs.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.
Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) credential.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Successful completion of an echocardiography certification program or a minimum of two (2) years of hands-on echocardiography experience.
At least one (1) year of echocardiography experience.

Nice To Haves

Certificate or degree in Cardiovascular Sonography.
Extensive hospital-based echocardiography experience, including pediatric and neonatal studies.

Responsibilities

Perform physician-ordered echocardiographic studies, including:
Transthoracic 2-D M-Mode Color-flow Doppler
Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE)
Exercise Stress Echocardiography
Pharmacological Stress Echocardiography
Conduct additional cardiac diagnostic testing as assigned, including EKGs, Holter monitor preparation and monitoring, and cardiac stress testing.
Operate ultrasound and related diagnostic equipment to obtain high-quality imaging and accurate data.
Utilize hospital information systems for scheduling, documentation, and proper charging of procedures.
Maintain strict infection control and aseptic practices.
Provide clinical instruction and preceptorship to students from affiliated educational programs.
Perform age-specific testing with attention to neonatal and pediatric care guidelines.
Complete additional duties within the scope of practice as assigned.
