Relocation assistance is available to those who qualify At Shannon Medical Center in San Angelo, we’re seeking a skilled Echocardiogram Technologist to join our team and make a difference in the lives of our patients. If you’re passionate about cardiovascular health and enjoy working with cutting-edge ultrasound technology, this is the perfect opportunity for you! As an Echocardiogram Technologist, you'll play a vital role in performing a variety of diagnostic procedures, including Transthoracic Echocardiograms (TTE) with color, spectral Doppler, 2D, 3D imaging, and Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE), along with Stress Echocardiograms (including Dobutamine Stress Echocardiograms), TTE with bubbles or contrast, and advanced imaging techniques. Your expertise will help physicians diagnose heart conditions, including heart disease and valve problems, guiding treatment plans that improve patients’ lives. Requirements

  • ARDMS or CCI credentialing as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate, within 90 days of hire
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) -OR- Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) Certificate

Nice To Haves

  • Diagnostic Sonographer experience is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform Comprehensive Echocardiograms: Use advanced ultrasound technology to capture high-quality, detailed images of the heart, including TTE, TEE, Stress Echo, and 3D imaging.
  • Ensure Patient Comfort & Care: Walk patients through the procedure, ensuring they feel informed and at ease before, during, and after their exams. Your compassionate touch will help ease any anxiety.
  • Collaborate with the Healthcare Team: Work closely with cardiologists, physicians, and other medical professionals to provide accurate and timely diagnostic data to support treatment decisions.
  • Deliver High-Quality Imaging: Adjust equipment settings to obtain the clearest images and ensure optimal diagnostic results for accurate patient care.
  • Maintain Equipment & Safety Standards: Ensure that ultrasound equipment is properly calibrated, sanitized, and functioning. Adhere to all safety protocols to protect both patients and team members.
  • Record & Transmit Results: Document patient information and test results accurately, transmit exams to the interpreting system, and communicate significant findings to the attending physician.
