About The Position

Performs echocardiograms on adult and pediatric inpatient/outpatients.

Requirements

• Age of Patients Served: All Age Groups
• GED or High School Diploma
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and ultrasound physics.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and customer/patient service, problem solving, time management and organizational skill, be a team player, excellent communication skills including telephone etiquette.
• Ability to recognize life-threatening findings and notify physicians.
• Ability to calculate test results.
• Uses good body mechanics.
• Maintain patient confidentiality.
• Serves as patient advocate.
• Good organizational skills basic computer data entry.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• CCI or ARDMS required within one (1) year of hire or transfer date.
• Less than one (1) year minimum experience

• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer
