About The Position

This position will perform imaging examinations/procedures in two or more modalities. This position will be assigned to work in a variety of imaging section per operational needs. Job Description Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson. Operates radiologic equipment for diagnostic and/or therapeutic purposes. Monitors patient condition during imaging procedures, alerting the physician of any complications. Provides radiologists with high-quality images to aid in diagnosis. Properly positions patients and imaging equipment prior to procedures. Administers oral or injected contract prior to procedures when necessary. Creates and maintains reports regarding patient data and radiologic treatment records. Regular work schedule is split between 2 or more modalities and based on business needs. Knowledge of radiography tools, techniques and applications, ability to utilize multiple imaging technology on patients for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes. Maintains competency on multiple modality imaging. Knowledge of radiographic equipment and processes, ability to use this knowledge to review and evaluate images generated in order to ensure their adequate quality for diagnostic activities. Knowledge of the equipment used in clinical diagnosis, treatment and monitoring, ability to select, procure, maintain, quality check and dispose of medical equipment in compliance with related policies. Knowledge of radiation safety regulations, principles, techniques and nuclear materials handling, ability to practically apply this knowledge to resolve safety issues. Knowledge of radiology and applicable laws and regulations governing proper materials storage, handling and disposal as well as radiology-related conduct, ability to demonstrate ethical behavior in diverse situations. Understanding of the necessity and value of teamwork, ability to work effectively as part of a team.
