About The Position

As our Echo Tech I you will operate ultrasound equipment and perform a variety of technical diagnostic procedures which encompass the specialty area of Echocardiography. You must be able to perform 2D/Doppler echocardiograms, Pharmacological and TMT stress echocardiograms and assist with Transesophageal echocardiograms. To be successful in this role, you must have a solid knowledge of imaging equipment and proper patient positioning to produce and analyze quality images. You'll continuously strive to deliver a positive experience to our patients. Requirements

• Associate's Degree OR one year certificate from a health related program in a related medical field, which include seminar course training in cardiac ultrasound preferred
• Registered by American Diagnostic Registry for Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) as RDCS OR RVT or Registered by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) as RVS or RCS
• Two (2) years related experience

Responsibilities

• Prepares equipment ensuring that equipment is operational, safe and functioning according to diagnostic standards
• Ensures that daily equipment and room maintenance is performed during after each procedure, and that special precautions and measures are performed to ensure infection control standards
• Completes all clinical supply inventories, ensuring that each diagnostic room is complete with the necessary supplies required to perform the procedure
• Communicates with Patient Transportation, Nursing Units, Physician Offices, and other diagnostic areas to ensure that the patients receive their diagnostic procedures in an efficient and safe manner
• Direct physician interaction by performing case by case review of the physician request for a procedure to be performed, as well as verifying the type of diagnostic test requested and that the indication for the procedure is
• Complete processing diagnostic tapes, Worksheets, and completing supporting documentation of logs, demographic and diagnostic information required for departmental, hospital and patient record documentation
