About The Position
Where You’ll Work St. Luke's Health–Sugar Land Hospital offers the latest technology and treatments for residents of Fort Bend County and Southwest Houston. Our services range from heart care and neuroscience to robotic surgery. Our recently opened Family Birthing Center offers incomparable care and amenities in a spa-like environment to provide a VIP—Very Important Pregnancy—experience. Since 2008, our experienced doctors, nurses, and support staff have provided expert care to support our community. We are offering a 5k sign on retenion bonus in addition to relocation to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements. Job Summary and Responsibilities Operates ultrasound equipment and Performs a variety of technical diagnostic procedures which encompass the specialty area of Echocardiography. Must be able to perform 2D/Doppler echocardiograms, Pharmacological and TMT stress echocardiograms and assist with Transesophageal echocardiograms.
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree OR one year certificate from a health related program in a related medical field, which include seminar course training in cardiac ultrasound preferred
- Registered by American Diagnostic Registry for Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) as RDCS OR RVT or Registered by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) as RVS or RCS
Responsibilities
- Performs ultrasound diagnostic imaging on patients according to the specific departmental procedure protocols
- Prepares equipment ensuring that equipment is operational, safe and functioning
- Ensures that daily equipment and room maintenance is performed after each procedure
- Completes all quality checks and Ensures that equipment logs are maintained
- Completes all clinical supply inventory
- Actively Participates with patient testing, performing routine, non‐routine, urgent, and emergent patient requests
- Communicates with Patient Transportation, Nursing Units, Physician Offices, and other diagnostic areas
