About The Position

Position Summary:
Performs echocardiography testing and procedures on patient and complete examination for interpretation. Performs other related duties. Under the direction of the Cardiopulmonary and EKG-ECHO and EEG Director performs all ultrasound examinations as ordered by the patient's attending physician. Prepares

Requirements

• Completion of Ultrasound school required.
• Must have completed at least 2 year course in Cardiovascular/Ultrasound Technology.
• RCS or RDCS certification, preferred
• Current BLS/CPR Certification required.
• Must have a good working knowledge of anatomy, understand principles of physics.
• Must be able to set up and operate all types of equipment that will be used in both analog and digital Cardiovascular Ultrasound Department.
• Should have sufficient knowledge of physiology, patient care, and sterile technique to deal with all types of conditions of patients.
• One (1) year experience as a Cardiac sonographer preferred
