About The Position

ECHO TECH POOL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs adult 2D, MM, color flow, and Doppler echoes. Explains procedure to patient and positions patient for optimal visualization. Attempts to locate, identify, and record any pathology that may assist physicians to diagnose or treat patient. Notifies physician at the time of the study if abnormality requiring immediate intervention is found. Performs Stress Echo and Dobutamine Stress Echo. Explains procedure to patient and positions patient for optimal visualization. Attempts to locate, identify, and record any pathology that may assist physicians to diagnose or treat patient. Orders supplies needed, maintains equipment, and performs requested service when needed. Enter orders and charges for outpatients, provides a preliminary interpretation, maintains records within the department and distributes copies of the reports appropriately. Assists in Holter monitoring, event monitoring, and EKG. Seeks to enhance skills and knowledge by attending seminars, independent study or other means. Performs other related duties as assigned. Clearly communicates and continuously supports the Mission and Values of Johnson Memorial Health. Conducts all activities in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, standards, and Johnson Memorial Health policies and procedures including Blood and Body Substance Precautions. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING: Associates or bachelor’s degree in Cardiac Sonography preferred. At least one year of clinical experience in adult cardiac echocardiography preferred. ARDMS Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or CCI Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) certification required. BLS or CPR for Healthcare Providers certification required. The centerpiece is Johnson Memorial Hospital, located in Franklin Indiana, just 20 minutes south of Indianapolis. Requirements

ARDMS Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or CCI Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) certification required.
BLS or CPR for Healthcare Providers certification required.

Nice To Haves

Associates or bachelor’s degree in Cardiac Sonography preferred.
At least one year of clinical experience in adult cardiac echocardiography preferred.
