About The Position
Performs transthoracic echocardiograms on patients. Assist physicians with technical acquisition of Stress Echocardiograms. Perform all duties in a manner that promotes team concept and reflects The Vancouver Clinic mission and philosophy.
Requirements
- Current registration in Adult Echocardiography and American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
- Minimum one year experience performing and interpreting 2D, M-Mode, and Doppler Echocardiograms
- Minimum one year experience in performing stress echoes.
- Current BCLS certification.
- Knowledge of current accepted Echocardiography principles, practices, and techniques, including cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology required.
- Skilled in optimal 2D/m-mode/Doppler image acquisition and optimal image/Doppler presentation on videotape.
- Ability to analyze severity/importance of findings and respond to or report findings accurately and appropriately.
- Knowledge of sterile techniques.
- Ability to communicate effectively, and interact professionally with patients, physicians, coworkers, and other health care providers.
- Ability to acquire technically proficient Echocardiograms without direct supervision and in emergency situation’s.
Nice To Haves
- A.S. Degree in Cardiovascular Technology or Diagnostic Medical Sonography preferred.
