About The Position

In keeping with the Dignity Health core values, the Registered Echo Tech performs diagnostic medical sonographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision to technical detail, performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative and assumes responsibility for specific diagnostic Echocardiographic procedures as required. This position is represented by SEIU-UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Requirements

• Current CPR certification registered with ARDMS.
• Experience in all phases of Echocardiography, including Echocardiography, TEE, ZD Doppler, and stress Echoprocedures.
• Current with continuing education units required by the licensing board of American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.

Nice To Haves

• Well versed in both general and vascular anatomy, as well as physiology.
• Demonstrates knowledge of all Echocardiography procedures.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with patients, staff, and physicians.
• Self-motivated and able to achieve results through good organizational skills.
