About The Position

FirstHealth of the Carolinas is seeking new grads or experienced Echo Techs (RCS, RDCS) to join their nationally recognized hospital system, specifically at the Moore Campus in Pinehurst, NC. This is a Full-Time position within a health care system comprising four hospitals and over 5,400 employees across more than 75 locations. The role is for a full-time Cardiac Sonographer within a progressive and cutting-edge team whose core purpose is to care for people.

Requirements

Associate degree or Higher level
BLS certification required
Formal Training in Diagnostic Cardiac Ultrasound required
Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer RDCS (OR) Registered Cardiac Sonographer RCS required
Willing to travel to other FirstHealth locations as needed

Responsibilities

Conducting cardiac ultrasounds on both adult and pediatric patients utilizing 2D/3D echocardiography, m-mode, color flow/doppler mapping, stress echocardiography, UEA imaging, Global Strain Analysis, TEE and structural heart assist when appropriate.
Collecting and evaluating clinical data and recognizing life-threatening findings and reporting, in a timely manner, to the appropriate reading physicians.
On a rotating basis, is responsible for all on-call duties.
Performing all functions of this role within the guidelines of department, ICAEL and hospital policies.
