The Lead Technologist performs at a technical level a variety of cardiovascular procedures to provide an efficient, comfortable, and safe examination of all patients. Utilizes independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative. The Lead utilizes proficiency in all aspects of his/her designated procedural area in preparation, assessment, documentation, and monitoring consistent with the policies and procedures of the Cardiovascular Department and Hospital administration. Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures. Teaches and directs the work of other staff and students as required. Participates in the Advent Health performance improvement program. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. A four-week notice is required for resignation/transfer, as well as any change in employment status resulting in decreased hours worked. Takes call after hours as designated. Supports and assists with data collection for process improvement while understanding the department performance trends and established standards. Contributes and encourages others to contribute toward process improvement by serving on PI teams as assigned. Participates in department Gallup and patient satisfaction initiatives. Utilizes knowledge of the levels of growth, development and skills for all patients that enter department.
